The most important thing you can do is vote on or before Tuesday, November 5:
It takes less than 5 minutes to check your registration using the link below (you may have been removed from the voter rolls without your knowledge). If you're not registered, the site will walk you through the simple and fast process. You can still register to vote online in these states:
Massachusetts: Until Saturday, October 26, 2024
New York: Until Saturday, October 26, 2024
Colorado: Until Monday, October 28, 2024
Washington: Until Monday, October 28, 2024
Vermont: Until Friday, November 1, 2024
Hawaii: Until Tuesday, November 5, 2024
Nevada: Until Tuesday, November 5, 2024
Check this sheet for other deadlines (like mail-in registration form, in-person, etc.).
Send Postcards
People who get hand-written postcards reminding them to vote are far more likely to return their ballots or go to the polls. So you can join a postcards program to receive a free packet of postcards that will be addressed to people who tend not to vote but mostly vote for Democrats, write out the postcards, and send them before the election and make a real difference! Most postcard efforts are closed or will soon, as they need enough time to print and mail you the cards so you can send them out. Check the list below for any open efforts, but there may not be any open by the time you read this!
Volunteer
Campaigns and organizations supporting Democratic Party candidates need people who can help persuade voters, sign people up to vote, and make sure they actually do vote on or before Election Day.There are many options for volunteering, some of which you can do from home. These include things like:
Texting voters from home ("textbanking")
Calling voters from home ("phonebanking")
Knocking on doors ("canvassing")
Going to places like malls to register voters ("tabling")
Don't worry β you will receive training and usually work with other people. And people on the phone, text, or in-person are usually quite nice. Bad interactions are rare.Be persistent about looking for opportunities, and consider signing up for more than one campaign or organization!
Lead an Event
Ready to do more? Field Team 6 is an organization that helps register Democrats to vote, and has detailed training and information about how to lead voter registration events.
Or, you can go directly to their "Voter Drive in a Box" instructions by choosing your state below:
Be a Poll Worker
Being a poll worker is a paid position, where you assist at a polling place (civic centers, churches, etc. where people vote) helping Election Day voters to complete their ballot and protect polling places from right-wing interference.
Nonpartisan Election Protection volunteers work Election Day and ensure that voters can exercise their rights in the face of restrictive election laws, partisan interference, or anything else that could silence their voices. There are different ways to participate, between monitoring polling places, watchdogging social media for disinformation, or reaching out to voters to make sure they know their rights.
Orgs to Support
These organizations are working to expand voter registration, ensure access to fair elections, and fight voter suppression. These links go to their websites, where you can learn more about them and sign up for updates or to volunteer with them.
Reach App
People are more likely to receive, and read, outreach β like text messages β from their friends and family, which makes you one of the most effective communicators for your circle! The Democratic Party uses an app called Reach that allows you to upload your contact list and find people who are registered to vote. You can then text them with memes and information about the Harris campaign to urge them to register and vote.
Harris Campaign Discord
If you want to get deeply involved with volunteering for the campaign, the Discord server can help. Discord is a chat program for your desktop and mobile phone that allows you to connect with other volunteers in live discussions.

Debunking
Right-Wing Lies
As for any politician, there's plenty of lies, half-truths, and out-of-context information about Kamala Harris that's posted by her political opponents.Snopes is one of the most trusted resources for debunking online misinformation, and you can find two separate archives of information about Harris on the site using the link below. The first is an archive with posts leading up to the 2020 election, when Harris was on the presidential ticket as Joe Biden's Vice President. The second includes more recent articles.
